About Us

We have a beautiful 40’x 24’ hall space that can accommodate 75 for meetings events and celebrations.  The hard wood floor open space is perfect for any event: graduation, shower, communion, wedding, birthday or even business meeting.

Adjacent to the hall is a 18’ x 9’ open small kitchen with attached bar counter that opens into the main hall. You get use of (2) refrigerators (one with small freezer) and microwave. Cater your event, bring sterno’s, utensils, paper products and supplies.  

At the entrance we have a coat rack that can accommodate your coats.  

You bring food, music, your decorations and invite your guests.  We make it easy! 

The property is located on grounds of Chicago Park District, so absolutely no activities can be hosted on the outside grounds of the building “unless “a proper Chicago special event permit has been applied for and approved.

Let us know if you need the space for an entire day or just a few hours. Depending on the time of day and number of hours we will determine costs. Most events we charge $100 hourly.  

There is a $75 room cleaning fee for our crew to sweep and wash floors, clean bathrooms, including toilets and sinks, wash kitchen area and wipe down all tables and chair surfaces.  If you want us to empty your filled garbage cans from the room after the event then cleaning cost would be $100. 

We allow 1 hour before event to set up (free of charge) as long as you book 4 hours or more. At end of the event, we allow 15 minutes for you to clear room of all guest and remove personal items, otherwise you will be charged for each 15 minute increment thereafter.  

So for example, an event from 5-9pm would cost $475 plus a $200 deposit =$675.  That $200 deposit would be refundable after the event as long as it was brought back to original condition. We would provide access to the hall at 4pm for your set up then at 9:15pm we would expect room to be emptied of all personal belongings and attendees.  Book under 3 hours then you get access to hall only 15 minutes prior to booking time.  

For an all-day event or wedding we certainly can make specific arrangements and give you that once in a life time memorable day.  

To reserve your date, send us back the attached rental agreement (signed) and a $200 deposit.  Full rental payment is 7 days before event. 

Hall is available 7 days per week and can be rented for mornings, days, afternoons or evenings.  Keep in mind we also book multiple events in one day too, so we also have to dedicate time in between for cleaning and room preparation.  On weekends we reserve the right to book several events such as 12-4pm and evenings events from 6pm-12.

There is FREE parking in front of the station within steps of the building, also on Northwest Hwy and on Avondale and Raven.  No parking in the drive or walkway from street all the way up to the building. Park will fine you if vehicles are on their property.  

Plan your event around specific train arrival times in Norwood Park and step off the train and walk directly inside the party!

FYI- Cannot save your date without a deposit.  If having liquor at your event; you must provide us with a copy of a certificate of insurance.  Ask your agent.  If you have homeowners' insurance, an umbrella policy can be extended to cover your one-day event if you plan to have liquor.  The “certificate of insurance” from your insurance agent must state that you have $1,000,000 in liquor liability coverage and in the description, section indicate “Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce Train Station Foundation and its officers and directors as additionally insured.”  We would like a copy of the certificate with your full payment at least 7 days prior to event date.
