The Historic Depot at Norwood Park is located on the Northwest Side of Chicago

 The Depot is one of Chicago's oldest train station structures. This little slice of Chicago and railroad history has been thoughtfully molded into a modern event venue while maintaining its historical feel. Built in 1907, the station underwent a major renovation in 1999. With 1,100 square feet of open space the 40' x 24' former waiting room has soaring ceilings, elegant hanging chandeliers, period era artwork and an historic feel.

The former ticket booth has been thoughtfully repurposed into a service bar and kitchenette. Including two refrigerators, freezer, microwave and three compartment sink. 

The renovation included the addition of ADA compliant access and restrooms.

Let us know if you need the space for an entire day or just a few hours. Depending on the time of day and number of hours we will determine costs. 

Rental Rates: 

Daytime weekdays may be rented by the hour. $150 hr + cleaning fee.

Friday events:

Daytime (finish by 3pm) hourly 

Evening event beginning after 3:00pm $550

Saturday events:

Daytime event completed by 3:00pm $575

Evening event beginning after 3:00pm $695

Full day rental $1,000

Sunday events:

Daytime event completed by 3:00pm $450

Evening event beginning after 3:00pm $550

Full day rental $750

Sundays prior to a federal holiday and holidays follow Saturday rates.

The Depot is available 7 days per week and can be rented for mornings, afternoons, evenings or full days.  Keep in mind we may book multiple events in one day, so we have to dedicate time in between for cleaning.  Saturday minimum 4 hour rental.  

ALCOHOL POLICY: 

If having alcohol at your event; you must provide us with a copy of a certificate of insurance. The certificate of insurance must state that you have $1,000,000 in liquor liability coverage. “Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce Train Station Foundation, its officers and directors" to be listed as additionally insured.
 

The certificate holder listed must be: Norwood Park COC Train Station Foundation 6088 N. Northwest Hwy, Chicago, Il 60631. 

We would like a copy of the certificate with your full payment at least 7 days prior to event date.

There is FREE parking in front of the station within steps of the building, also on Northwest Hwy and on Avondale and Raven.  No parking in the drive or walkway from street all the way up to the building.  Plan your event around specific train arrival times in Norwood Park and step off the train and walk directly inside the party!
